4 Days Mount Kenya Climbing

$800 per person

Mount Kenya is the Africa’s second highest mountain with a height of 5,199m above sea level and is roughly circular , about 60km across at the 200mm contour where the steep font hills rise out of gentler slopes of centered highlands. At the center of the mountain, main peaks rise sharply from 4500m to the main summit of Batian 5,199m, Nelion 5, 188m and Point Lenana 4,985m. Only point Lenana can be reached by trekkers and other two being only for technical climbers.

Day 1: Nairobi- Nanyuki
Leave Nairobi for Nanyuki arriving in time for lunch. Afterwards, final briefing by mountain guide. Dinner and overnight at your preferred hotel in Nanyuki town. Meals: Lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Nanyuki- Old Moses Camp
After breakfast, transfer from Nanyuki  to the Sirimon where trekking starts. Hike through the rain forest for 9kms (5 hours) to the first mountain hut, the Old Moses camp at 3300m for dinner and overnight in the camp. Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 3: Old Moses to Shipton Camp
Early morning breakfast and start climbing from Old Moses through Mackinder’s Valley to the second hut, Shipton Hut (4200m) for dinner and overnight in the camp. Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 4: Shipton Hut-Old Moses
Early in the morning around 03hrs and hike to point Lenana (4985m). We descend to Shipton Camp for breakfast and soon after descend to Old Moses for the night in the camp. Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 5: Old Moses-Nairobi
After breakfast, trek town to the Sirimon to catch transport to Nairobi where the tour ends. Drop off at Your Nairobi hotel or Airport to board your flight back home. Meals: Breakfast and dinner.
